A dilemma
Hypothetical situation: ---***--- ( I have two of the best clients. And I really want to help them find the right house. Today I think I did indeed find them the right house. So I called the listing agent with some questions on covenants and river access, because I have some serious buyers, and they are very interested in the house. Guess what the agent told me. "Who do you work for? Oh, this is my personal residence and I absolutely will not do business with ___________." What do I say to that? Being shocked I had the witty response of : "Ok." That'll teach 'em. Now my fiduciary duties to my client are to find them a house. If they really want this house, what do I do? Do I steer them elsewhere? Or do I refer them to another agent with whom the listing agent will work? If I do that, I'll be losing a lot of commission, but I'll be fulfilling my obligation to the client. I told them I'd help them find a house, and that's what I intend to do.) ---***---
It's just a thought. Tell me what you'd do in this situation. Let's get a discussion on really fulfilling your fiduciary duty.

I wouldn't worry about fiduciary duty just yet. I would go back and read the MLS rules. I doubt they allow an MLS member to refuse to deal with another MLS member.
You are spot on. They aren't allowed to refuse to deal with me. And oh... this is strictly hypathetical. (cough)
