Here's an Idea!

    Renewable energy, in any capacity, is expensive. Period. But try this approach: don't buy anything, rent it. You can go down to Culligan's here in town and rent an entire water treatment system. They send a technician out to install it, they're on call for maintenance, and they even bring you bags of salt for your water softener. Why can't there be a company here in town where I go and say, "Hey, I need a renewable energy source for my home because I love the Earth and I want to save some money on my bills."? (I have no idea how to punctuate that last sentence) Even if your rental fees equal your energy bills, you'd be saving energy for free. I've been on the Northwestern Energy  and the Energy West homepages, and haven't seen anything quite like this. Sure, they have energy initiatives where you can invest money into their program. Or if you want a photovoltaic power system, they'll send you a pamphlet and wish you the best of luck. But this has more capitalism written on it. I can't take full credit for the idea though. But am I crazy, or is this a good idea? You tell me.
