Somebody buy the downtown Albertson's

Instead of signing a petition or whatnot to keep the Albertson's in downtown GF open, why doesn't somebody just buy or rent the building, and start their own grocery store? I would do it myself, if Albertson's would take a check, but I'm thinking they won't.

I was under the impression that Albertson's didn't own the store. But I think a coop would be a better way to go...give the downtown a little pride!

I'll have to do a little research then. What kind of Realtor am I if I can't find out who owns a piece of land? But a co-op is a very good idea. Maybe you're the one to do it Zen?
