History Repeating Itself
OK, I wasn't around the first time this happened, but I'm here for the second time. Back in the sixties, when we had cheap energy, and the U.S. economy was strong, we started building faster and more powerful cars. For example, the Mustang, Camaro, Chevelle, Nova, Challenger, Charger, and the Barracuda. They were powerful, gas-hungry cars that exemplefied the times. Then the energy crisis hit, gas prices jumped, and the major car makers pretty much halted all muscle car production. Now, since 2000, we've seen the mustang get its muscle back, the reborn Camaro, GTO, and Challenger, HEMI engines in every Chrysler vehicle, and so forth. Now... it happens again. Nobody is buying the fast and powerful cars. So if my causation theory is correct, I have the answer to the energy crisis... never build muscle cars!! I'm almost positive it's the catalyst. Really... and stuff.

But I love muscle cars..... I guess I'll have to settle for a mini cooper!
It's ok. The damage has already been done. Still, I think the Cooper Mini is a good idea.
